Folk Art Portrait Paintings

Examples of my paintings in old Folk Art Primitive Style. They are inspired by the Early American Itinerant Painters such as Ammi Phillips and William Matthew Prior.  Most of my folk art paintings are on stretched Canvas.  I generally paint the sides of the canvas a solid color. This way they can be displayed as is or framed.

If you are interested in putting your child or pet in one of my pieces all you need to do is send good photos by email as .jpg or by regular mail along with payment and any changes that need to be done.  The face should be in as close as possible position as you want painted.  Full body pictures of pets are best.  Generally 16 by 20 inch paintings are good for one figure and a pet, and 18 by 24 inch paintings are good when you want one, two, or three people depicted.  Contact me about other sizes.
